We believe that every child should feel inspired, supported and challenged to achieve their very best. For children who demonstrate high attainment or particular strengths, we provide carefully planned opportunities to deepen understanding, extend thinking and nurture a lifelong love of learning.

In the Classroom

Children who grasp concepts quickly are thoughtfully stretched through:

Enrichment Opportunities

To further enhance learning, we take part in Maths, English and Science enrichment days in collaboration with local schools. These experiences provide opportunities for children to:

• Work alongside other high-attaining pupils

• Participate in creative workshops and mathematical investigations

• Apply their skills confidently in new and engaging contexts

Such opportunities broaden horizons, foster a love of challenge and build confidence beyond the classroom.

Raising Aspirations

We are committed to helping our children begin to understand the possibilities available to them in the future. By welcoming visitors from a range of professions, pupils gain valuable insight into different careers and pathways. These experiences raise aspirations and encourage children to think ambitiously about their future.

Targeted Support and Year 2 Booster Provision

Where appropriate, targeted provision ensures that children continue to make strong progress. Learning is carefully adapted to meet individual needs, providing both appropriate challenge and support so that every child can flourish.

In Year 2, children are also offered the opportunity to attend our after-school Booster sessions. These sessions are designed to both challenge high-attaining pupils and further secure key knowledge and skills in preparation for the next stage of their learning. The sessions provide focused teaching in a supportive environment, helping children to consolidate understanding while extending their thinking.
