The Hillside Schools Association (HSA) supports Hillside Infant School by raising funds through community events and activities that enrich every child’s learning experience.
When a child joins Hillside Infant School, their family automatically becomes part of the Hillside Schools Association. There’s no obligation to volunteer — simply being part of the school community already helps support the children.
The Association exists to provide additional resources, facilities, and opportunities that enhance learning, wellbeing, and enjoyment throughout the school. Updates on how the funds raised are used are shared with parents and carers via email, our website, social media, newsletters, and Dojo.
Fundraising activities are organised throughout the year by volunteers from the parent and staff community. Money raised helps fund:
Playground improvements and equipment
IT and computing resources
Library, reading, and classroom materials
The school helps identify where support is most needed, and suggestions from parents, staff, and the wider community are always welcome.
Fundraising takes place through a variety of events and initiatives, including:
Family fun days, quizzes, and cake sales
Children’s events such as discos, Santa visits, and mufti days
Raffles and tombolas
Sponsored challenges such as fun runs and readathons
Grants, donations, and workplace matched funding
Every contribution — big or small — makes a real difference to the children’s experience.
Parents and carers can support the Hillside Schools Association in many ways, without any long-term commitment — by attending events, helping occasionally, donating prizes or skills, taking on personal fundraising challenges, or supporting sponsorship and matched funding. Every contribution, big or small, is valued and appreciated.
New ideas and volunteers are always welcome. With community support, the Hillside Schools Association continues to create valuable opportunities for every child at Hillside Infant School.
