We provide a rich and engaging art curriculum that enables children to be creative, expressive, and confident in exploring their ideas. Through a range of artistic experiences, children are encouraged to make connections with the wider world, explore different cultures, and develop an appreciation of art in all its forms.

We use Kapow Art & Design to support the delivery of our curriculum, ensuring progression of skills and high-quality learning experiences across the school. Children are taught a range of techniques including drawing, painting, sculpture, printing, collage, textiles, and digital media.

Our approach encourages children to experiment, create, and evaluate their own work, while also learning about a wide range of artists, craft makers, and designers. This helps them to understand how art reflects different cultures and time periods, and inspires their own creativity.

Across the school, skills are carefully sequenced so that children build on prior learning and develop increasing confidence and control as they progress through each year group.
