Dear Parents, 


I am proud to welcome you to Hillside Infant School and to our website. We hope that you will find this website helpful whether your child already attends Hillside or if you are considering enrolling them in our rapidly progressing school. 


At Hillside Infant School we aim to provide a happy, caring, safe and secure environment for all our pupils. We offer a nurturing and highly supportive atmosphere, and we believe each child is unique. Our staff team work hard to support each child's individual needs. We believe in strong parent partnerships in order for our children to become independent and curious learners and be fully equipped for the next stage of their education. 


Pupils are very courteous and respectful to each other and adults. Their behaviour,conduct around the school and attitudes to learning are excellent. Their personal development and welfare are exceptional.  Ofsted 2018

Our priority is to ensure that children have an excellent start to their education and are provided with an exciting curriculum in order reach their full potential and achieve the highest standards possible. We have a strong belief in a practical and purposeful curriculum, we believe children learn best when provided with a range of hands on activities that stimulate their curiosity and enjoyment.


We work closely with parents and provide workshops and regular meetings on how to help children make good progress. We share individual pupil targets and children’s progress is regularly tracked and progress reviewed.
